New CA Workers’ Compensation Laws 2017 Workshop

Santa Ana, CA, January 23, 2017- Registration for the Insurance Educational Association’s annual 3-hour seminar on the new workers’ compensation laws of California is now available on its website with seminars scheduled statewide in January and February of 2017. Popular instructor Prof. David Chetcuti will provide a thorough explanation of ten new laws. Locations for these LIVE programs are San Francisco, Rancho Cordova in Northern California and San Diego, Costa Mesa and Glendale in Southern California. Note the San Francisco class is SOLD OUT, so an additional program has been scheduled for that location.

In addition, the program will include a bonus presentation providing education not offered elsewhere on four important claims topics involving:

  1. Reverse-Dubon: IMR decisions may be set aside due to applicant attorney violations of the Regs;
  2. Proper claims handling of TD garnishment and liens regarding child support obligations;
  3. The unique method Victims Crime Program (VCP) liens are resolved under the CA work comp system, saving employers thousands of dollars;
  4. Death benefits for spouses. Do you really know what a spouse is? There are six definitions! Come and find out what they are.
