Atlanta, GA, August 29, 2017 — Breckenridge Insurance Services welcomes commercial property and casualty broker David Stamatis, ASLI as vice president. Stamatis will further the geographic office expansion of the team to Austin, Texas while supporting clients throughout the country. Prior to Breckenridge, he was an E&S commercial underwriter for Admiral Insurance Group, a W.R. Berkley Corporation, for several years. He previously held brokerage sales positions for two other managing general agencies.
“I had the opportunity to work with David in the past. He is knowledgeable on the underwriting side of the business as well as sales driven. His proven ability to quickly understand and navigate
markets to benefit his clients is consistent with our service excellence commitment,” stated Trevor Pierce, regional vice president of Breckenridge. “We are happy to have him join us as part of our team now.”
Stamatis also was an instructor and guest speaker for Project InVEST, an educational program allied with the Association of Independent Insurance Agents that is focused on bringing insurance curricula into high schools. He also served as a zone co-coordinator for the association’s Young Agents Council. Stamatis is currently a member of the Texas Surplus Lines Association and in process of completing his CPCU designation. He holds a degree from The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration and studied Italian language and culture at The Umbra Institute in Perugia, Italy.
