This role leads the North America (NA) Regional HR team, comprised of Employee Relations (ER) and Compliance specialists, reporting to the Global Head of Regional HR Delivery and Global Recruitment.

Manage the delivery of US and CA HR services by the NA Regional HR team, related to Employee Relations, local legislation, and regulatory matters, to ensure compliance with laws and regulations for business as usual, organizational change, and when supporting the integration and harmonization of any M&A activity.

Partner with Talent Advisory, Centers of Expertise, and Global HR Operations to support the execution of enterprise and business programs in NA.

Serve as an active member of the North American Leadership (NALT) team, representing HR and advising executive and senior-level colleagues regarding HR matters that impact all North America.

This job is fully remote or hybrid, preferred location in Eastern or Central Time Zones.

The Role


Join WTW’s Global HR Team, leading the Regional HR team for one of our largest markets, North America. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape employee and labor relations strategy, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment laws, and advising senior executives on complex HR matters. You’ll lead a high-performing team of ER and compliance professionals, collaborate with global HR functions and Legal, and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive North America Leadership Team.

The Director- Regional HR, North America

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing NA Regional HR team, ensuring ER and compliance activities align with WTW’s HR model.
  • Define and implement ER and compliance strategies with standardized policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily HR operations related to ER and Compliance, organizational transformation support, and M&A integration guidance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and corporate teams on business continuity issues, prioritizing stakeholder management and communication during critical situations.
  • Leverage global HR systems and processes to deliver a seamless employee and manager experience.
  • Partner with Talent Advisory, CoEs, Global HR Operations, and Legal to determine country support requirements for the smooth execution of talent programs
  • Work with HR COEs on initiatives impacting NA colleagues, leading educational and communication strategies.
  • Promote a strong performance culture and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage and monitor the execution of services provided in the region by Center of Expertise, Global HR Operations and third parties to ensure a seamless colleague experience
  • Work with Global HR Operations to identify and implement projects improving efficiency, quality, and reducing costs.
  • Act as HR leader on the WTW NA Leadership Team, influencing decisions affecting NA colleagues
  • Partner with the NA Geography Business Leader on pressing issues as a key member of the North America Risk Committee.
  • Represent NA on the Global Regional HR Leadership team, offering NA perspectives for all HR programs, policies, processes and initiatives.


The Requirements
  • A proven track record as a senior HR professional (e.g. Director of HR, Senior HR Business Partner, Director of Employee Relations) providing advisory and expertise to leaders
  • Strong skills in influencing and advising senior business leaders
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources policy and practice, with the ability to quickly understand and implement legislative regulation and legislative changes.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to educate business leaders, managers and colleagues on evolving processes to enable a professional work environment and inclusive culture
  • Experience of managing restructuring programs and change management initiatives
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Understanding and experience operating in a Global matrix environment.
  • Disciplined execution, management through facts and data, and ability to succeed in ambiguity.
  • Ability to drive large scale projects across a large colleague population


Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $160,000.00-$200, 000.00 USD annually.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
