I just want to point out to anyone reading this article that the standard ISO CGL policy does not say it covers “occurrences” that happen during the policy period. It covers “bodily injury” and/or “property damage” that occurs during the policy period. There is no time element attached to the “occurrence” in the insuring agreement. This may be a pertinent distinction in some situations.
