The Main Street America Group has promoted three officers.

The Jacksonville, Florida-based company has tapped Steve Peeters to serve as the company’s chief operating officer. In that capacity, he will oversee the company’s commercial, personal, and bond and reinsurance product lines, as well as pricing, information technology, claims and customer service functions. Peeters first joined the company in February 2010 as a vice president and head of commercial lines and subsequently became senior vice president of product operations. Prior to joining Main Street, he served as the president and chief operating officer of Zurich Insurance Services.

Bruce Fox has been named as the company’s new vice president of legal services, leading the company’s corporate law and state filings functions. Fox first joined the company in 2002 as a senior field attorney and later oversaw the company’s staff counsel operations in Massachusetts.

Dan Gaynor has been named the company’s new vice president of commercial lines. He is responsible for commercial lines profitability, product development and underwriting. Prior to joining the Main Street earlier this year, he was a vice president at Harleysville Insurance.

York, Penn.-based Glatfelter Insurance Group has formed Glatfelter Program Managers, a new strategic business unit dedicated to its program business. Arthur Seifert, most recently with Southwest Insurance Partners Inc. and its Beacon Hill Insurance Agency, is joining Glatfelter to be president of the new company. He will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing operations for the company’s programs. Seifert has a history in the program insurance business. In 1994 he founded Lighthouse Underwriters, which he subsequently sold in 2006 to U.S. Risk in Dallas. He was then chief underwriter with U.S. Risk. In 2009, he joined Southwest Insurance Partners Inc. as CEO of Bunker Hill Insurance Agency. Seifert is a past president of the Target Markets Program Administrators Association.

Stahl & Associates Insurance in St. Petersburg, Fla. has named Hiram Hampton II as the new vice president of business development. Hampton, who previously served as president and chief operating officer of Lykes Insurance, will be responsible for personal production, sales management, recruitment, and assisting with mergers and acquisitions. Stahl & Associates, a commercial and personal lines insurance agency, has locations in St. Petersburg, Oldsmar, Lakeland, and Lake Mary.

Jayson Buechler has joined Normandy Harbor Insurance Co., a workers’ compensation insurance carrier based in Miami Beach, Fla., as vice president of underwriting. Prior to joining NHIC, Buechler was the vice president of program management for Patriot Underwriters Inc., and has held similar management positions with The Zenith and Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual.

Medical professional liability insurance company MAG Mutual Insurance Co. in Atlanta has named cardiologist Joseph S. Wilson Jr., M.D. as chairman and chief executive officer. Wilson replaces Roy W. Vandiver, M.D., who retired recently. The company sells malpractice insurance in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater has named Robin Westcott, an attorney and longtime insurance watchdog, to the post of Insurance Consumer Advocate. Westcott began her career in 1993 with the Florida Department of Insurance. She served with the department until 2001, when she entered private practice. Westcott returned to the public sector in 2002 with the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation. In 2004, she returned to the Office of Insurance Regulation, most recently serving as the acting deputy commissioner of property/casualty.
