InVEST of Alexandria, Va. announced the opening of 14 new classrooms during the 2002 fall and winter semester to attract more recruits to the insurance industry.
InVEST’s curriculum introduces high school and community college students to the field of insurance and to the small business environment through a simulation approach. Now in more than 235 schools across the country, InVEST annually educates more than 6,000 high school and community college students. “Given the number of InVEST graduates that go on to pursue careers in insurance, this achievement is a clear indicator of our industry’s future success,” said InVEST Chairman Jim Armitage, vice president of Arroyo Insurance Services in South Pasadena, Calif.
A 501(c)3 educational trust, the program is funded by insurance companies and foundations that support bringing new and diverse talent into the insurance industry.
