The Independent Insurance Agents of New Jersey announced that the organization has recently joined the Insurance Council of New Jersey as an associate member.
“ICNJ was established in 1977 and is a nonprofit, insurance research, information, and advocacy organization sponsored by 32 NJ licensed property and casualty insurance companies,” said the bulletin. “Its mission is to promote an understanding of the industry and a positive business environment. ICNJ member companies underwrite 95 percent of auto policies, 70 percent of homeowners insurance policies, 56 percent commercial policies, and more than 55 percent of workers compensation policies in New Jersey.”
The IIANJ said it “believes the membership is another way to assist IIANJ members through continued involvement in legislative and regulatory activities with industry representatives to improve market conditions in all lines of insurance.”
