It’s a shame the MD Democrats can’t take responsibility for their own actions. To attempt to blame the Insurance Commissioner for the tax hike they passed is absurd. Do they really think Marylanders are that ignorant? Our votes count folks, I urge my fellow Marylanders to remember how our Government turned it’s back to the real problem here, passed a tax increase on to its citizenry and then shamefully pointed the finger of blame to the Insurance Commissioner. Let’s vote them all out of office!

: the legislature overrode Gov. Robert Ehrlich’s veto of a medical malpractice bill that required HMOs to pay the 2 percent premium tax paid by all other insurers.

Who are these other insurers? Does this apply to maryland insurance administration california? Say, HMO plans based or operatinal in California.
