This plan is very interesting to me and my wife. The problem is the requirement to be uninsured for 6 months in order to be eligible. We are self employed and currently have health insurance, but the premiums are obsene. However, if one of us were to become seriously ill during that 6 month period. we could be destrolyed financially.

We are self employed and have not had insurance until this last year and the cost is 1500.00 per month and it doesn’t cover pre exsisting conditions. I believe that Gov. Rell has a great idea but our family can not go without insurance for 6 months. We will be in financial ruins if there was a medical emergency. I play the rob peter to pay paul to keep health insurance. I owe approxiamently 5,000. for medical expenses prior to having this insurance policy. WHAT MAY HAPPEN WHEN THE STATE DECIDES TO GET RID OF THE PLAN ??

I do not currently work as I care for my mom who has colon cancer and will not be able to afford the $250 monthly charge. Is there any help for us who are caring for family?
