it’s not just a matter of precedent for him stepping down from the office, but he shud have stepped out of the public office PERIOD. even tho it was just a misdemeanor, to ask someone to threaten a person is just as bad as having committed the actual threat. i know he meant well to protect his granddaughter, but at the age of 78, he needs to let us granddaughter make her own decisions. in fact she did, because she married him. if anything, it shud have been her father not grandfather questioning whom she marries. in the long run, it is her responsibility of whom she plans to spend the rest of her life with or go out with for that matter. at the age of 78, he shud just retire anyways. this is the primary reason why we have problems in our political system — tooo many old folks trying to run a nation which is starting to become young again.
