“Foolish” doesn’t even come close to describing how the doctor looks. Words like “fraudulant”, “idiotic”, “incompetent”, and “criminal” come to mind. There is no way a reasonable person, let alone a doctor with specific training in anatomy and physiology, would look at that guy and not know that he works out.

Now, all of that doctor’s recommendations are going to be questioned and re-evaluated. How unfortunate for those men/women who actually are injured! Lastbat – you’re right on target.

As everyone as aptly pointed out, this clown is a fraud and an embarassment to medical professionals everywhere. He should be prosecuted for fraud and each of his prior “disability cases” re-opened and re-evaluated. The medical association should investigate him and consider revoking his license. Nobody has mentioned the “other” skunk in the woodpile of phoney disability claims…..the attorneys who represented them. And while we’re on the subject, was the BFD asleep when approving the other 21 cases the same doctor submitted?

Maybe this doctor (and I use the term very losely here) was one that was recommended by the fire department or city.

In any case, if the cases are reopened (and they should be) and a firefighter realy is disabled that should easily be determined by a qualified physician.

Don’t worry, if Obomber get’s elected, his taxes will go so high, he’ll be forced to take a government healthcare job.

Do you think it would be too much to ask, that before our cities decided to pay someone permanent disability that there is a requirement to have two doctor’s opinions? I know this would cost more in the short run, but think about the tax dollars that may be saved over many years.Oh that’s right that is common sense.

um… the city was so determined to make sure that is was a temporary accident disablement that it went to permanent when in reality it was neither…

truly, the city would rather have them work for a living and draw a retirement check based on work instead of a disability.

as far as the doc? i don’t care about his medical student loan or any other payment. it’s like malpractice lawsuit happening because, he diagnosed folks incorrectly – or was it better terms — FRAUD! then whose at fault? both parties?

I don’t need to review his tax proposals. All the promises of social entitlements such as free health care etc. can only be payed for by raising everyones taxes to something similar to what the Europeans are paying for similar programs. If you want to live in a socialist state vote for Obama and be ready to see your taxes go up.

Like Stephen Colbert says, “I don’t need facts. Facts can change, but my opinion never changes, regardless of the facts.”

It doesn’t require a rocket scientist to figure out that the most liberal senator who is promising everything to everybody will have to raise taxes.

The key is not spending at all. Cut out all the pork barrel promises. We need smaller government not larger. We don’t need more programs.

Have you even reviewed the tax proposals for both candidates know that Obama will raise taxes for him? Or are you just mouthing off Republican talking points with no real background on the subject? Unless he makes over 250k a year his taxes will either stay the same or be reduced.

That’s the same slogan Reagan used and we all know how much was mispent on the Star Wars program. I don’t know about you but the last thing I am worried about is my taxes; what I am concered about is the borrow and spend. I have no illusions that we have to pay our way. It surprises me how many people buy that republican crap about keeping taxes low in order to create jobs etc. to improve the econonmy. After 8 years of that kind of economics, I’m ready to try something different. I remember the Clinton years fondly, where the republicans passed a law to force the administration to balance the budget and low and behold, they left office with a SURPLUS! I don’t remember anyone complaining about that…

I don’t think anyone here really gets it -a significant amount of collusion exists between doctors and their claimant’s, family doctors, and friends who know doctors. As long as the money is pouring in from guaranteed office visits. There are other doctors who work closely with attorney’s to extend disability. There are doctors who provide unnecissary operations and surgical procedures to dely return to work and claimants who allow it to happen to avoid returning to work. The stories go on and on…

So Dr Mahoney could not recognize that this overmuscled man was a bodybuilder? He needs new glasses!!! Maybe needs to retire?
There are many public servants that go to him here in Boston for Worker Comp issues.
This is a disgrace and maybe he should be held to the same standard the rest of the world is and that is to say he should be charged with FRAUD!
Now this particular Fireman was just arrested for stalking his girlfriend. You could not make this up!
