Surely someone “in charge” at the church knew of this incident—? Who paid the initial medical expenses? Why wasn’t the custodian informed of his rights as an injured worker immediately upon his injury?

well, the question, was the custodian a paid position w/in the church or an actual company? or was it someone w/in the church who performed these tasks? this puts a difference in claims, but then again, if the law allows 4 yrs, why did he wait? i agree, if he fell in dec 99, and felt he was ok, why did he wait so long to go to the dr? is his dr bills falling behind because he needed the replacement?
