Jeez, $15,000 is not a lot a $$ to go to jail for. Could have sold an average commercial account or 2 and made that !!

I can’t say what the laws are in NY, but in MN if the insured has proof that they paid their agent and the agent fails to pay the wholesaler or insurance company, the insurance company still has to pay the claim. At least this is how a similar situation was handled in MN. The insurance dept received proof of payment and they instructed the carrier to pay the claim.

Elsewhere in NY state, Goldman Sachs, with the aid of our democratically elected prostitutes in DC, is stealing trillions.

But golly gee, I’m sure glad they caught this guy for stealing $15k.

It wasn’t $15K — he was the fall guy for a family of scammers that he was not. I’ve knew him for over 20 years; lived with him with 15+. He was the love of my life.

He had a legitimate retail job at Roosevelt Field selling shoes and bags.

His family insulted him on his then very successful profession.

His brother and father sucked him into their fast money/insurance fraud schemes. When the father died, his brother purchased a Ferrari, stole money in the premium scam, got a major coke habit who dragged Emil into it, and little brother went along and became the fall guy.

I had to leave — he was the fall guy to a family who never supported anyone except white collar criminals.
