Never in her tenure did she have any concern at all for consumers but is a shill for the companies she’s supposed to regulate because they make it worth her while, which together with kickbacks from vendors to the insurance department has brought her from near-bankruptcy when she took office to multi-millionaire today. Her supposed concern for consumers didn’t start until Mitch Crane, an attorney and former judge. announced last July he would challenge her in a Democrat primary election this September. She also has two Republican challengers. Her party doesn’t support her and she’s received few if any campaign contributions. So all this hypocritical b.s. about looking out for consumers is just more of her lies, like the ones she told about her education and experience to get herself elected in the first place. She’s the worst insurance commissioner Delaware has ever had.
Getting this woman defeated in the next election is neither a poor solution nor an unobtainable one. Unfortunately and despite constant scandals, getting her impeached has been impossible so far because she’s been protected by the endemic corruption in the entire Delaware political structure since shortly after her election in 2008. But her mishandling of the office for her own personal gain and that of her cronies who are running the office is common knowledge now and Delaware voters will NOT choose her over her challengers.
