This is typical Chubb – next they’ll non-renew their policyholders downstairs!

Chubb is subrogating the claim on behalf of the people who were effected by the damage that started in her apartment. The article does not state what went on. What if she left the bathtub on or clogged a toilet and let it run.

Typical? Hardly. Chubb was the first to say they would pay for the 9/11 claims. That is a stand up company!

This is such incomplete reporting – what are they alleging she did to cause the water damage?

Marisa Tomei is quite possibly the hottest woman ever to walk the face of the Earth. She should be able to damage whatever she wants whenever she wants.

Wonder if the actress had any coverage? Or is this typical deep pocket mining by an insurer?

Subrogation mining at its best. Ms. Tomei will turn the lawsuit to her liability insruance carrier and they will pay for defense and the PD liabilility claim. If Ms. Tomei was also insured with Chubb,I bet there would be no lawsuit.
