    how many other buildings in that town are not habitable? how many of them could have been razed and not lived in but the decor on the street makes them look ugly? yet, you have occupants who would have like to have salvaged their own personal items. did the city give them any money to those items they destroyed? folks had clothes, pots and pans, and many other items. items with personal value, that you can’t put a price on. the gov’t is so quick to condemn buildings just to move folks along and grab the rights to that property. i am sorry, but the deed is listed on somebody’s name, not the gov’t. w/o deeds, we can all say we own any piece of property. after all the citizens are paying property tax on their land. i don’t see the gov’t paying those taxes! this should be an interesting case to follow…
