Why certainly they want to hold off seeing flood rates increase. The same is true for the majority of the states in this country. Why not let the rest of the country pay for their lack of planning / engineering and letting people build wherever they want to and still not purchase flood insurance, sue their agent because they never explained that flood coverage wasn’t part of their “homeowners” policy (NEVER HAS BEEN) and then, get a lower interest rate to borrow/rebuild in the same place so it can be destroyed time and time again, also at a cost to the rest of the country! Politics at its finest! Time to WISE UP!!!
