    Sorry CHOP, your study is meaningless because you missed the most important factor in crash study: miles driven.

    Accident rates are per passenger mile or per vehicle mile and taking the miles driven out of the equation provides a flawed result.

    The way this article reads it sounds like a sticker on the license plate is the direct reason for the reduction. If this is true then if I put a big red sticker on my back pants pocket will I see a reduction in people kicking me in the backside?

    Before long, some lawyer will file a discrimination suit stating that the decals cause embarrassment and humiliation to teen drivers.

    I am originally from France, and we have had this rule for a long time. I think it is a good idea to put a decal on the cars of new drivers. It is a good reminder for those that are driving around them, and if it is decreasing the number of accidents then all the better.
