I still greatly sympathize with the families, but suing the school because it didn’t have bullet proof glass is disgusting. How many schools DO have bullet proof glass?
No-one could have forseen this tragedy, except the person that perpetrated it and maybe his mother. Both are dead now. This will not bring back those kids or ease anyone’s suffering. It will only add to it.
The school had a simple, clear lockdown policy, and in every room where it was followed, the children had a 100% survival rate. The contrast is pretty stark.
Imagine ISIS’ delight when it reads about Americans promoting gun control! We need to uphold the 2nd amendment to save us all. It is terrible when children die-but if one of teachers or the principal had had a gun, the shooter could have been stopped. Mass shootings tend to take place in GUN FREE zones for that reason. Taking arms from sane people and suing legal gunmakers just promotes the illegal use of guns by criminals and terrorists. On the other hand, it would be OK by me for them to go after the shooters’ families who did not keep their guns locked up and out of the reach of their children/disturbed family members. We do need stricter rules about gun storage in homes with children. If you have a gun, you need a safe.
I find it even more horrendous that there are attorney’s out there that took these cases. Talk about taking advantage of people’s emotions.
