Agree wholeheartedly with Ms. Acconzo, but, unfortunately, the educational requirements of NJ and other states have been reduced to the point where they are are so minimal as to be useless. NJ once had the most stringent educational requirements in the U.S., but these have now been watered down to a mere 40 hours of instruction, and may be by internet no less. As a Past President of IIABNJ, we need more professionals in our agent/broker ranks, and fewer “hacks” which our system is now turning out. Done right, this could be a good answer to the job market as well ass the needs of agencies and the public.
