Thank you for an article with some perspective. Playing sports and playing professional sports are apples and oranges. The last things kids need to do these days is sit on the couch because they might bump their head during play. Get out and run!

They are finding this disease in high school and college kids now. It’s pretty clear that football is something that is extremely dangerous long-term to anybody that plays it. It has been found in over 95% of ex-NFL players studied. Kids do need to get out and play but letting a child play football borders on child abuse in light of all the evidence.

Also, this doctor/headline are full of crap. A doctor critiquing a movie he hasn’t seen because it might make people think all concussions can lead to this disease. That isn’t the point of the movie based on the book or documentaries about this guy, so he should not be making that statement until he sees the film.
