As I’ve said here before — regardless of your stance on marijuana, it’s a shame Mass’s elected officials decided not to implement the law their constituents voted for.
The state had plenty of opportunity to draft their own law and place it on the ballot and failed to do so. As such, they should implement the law their voters approved, not tweak it to their own liking.
Jack, if the cost of pot gets high enough, the dope heads may have to go to the less costly Meth pills which in turn leads to the other things like Heroine or Cocaine. Anything that they can get high on.
Yeah…that’s why people buy them on the black market…the taxes.
All those gangbangers in Chicago would just buy them at Wal-Mart if it weren’t for those pesky taxes!

So you are saying we should make sure that legal access to marijuana is dictated purely on the market? I agree! I would hate to see Sarah Palin out on the streets at 4 am looking for scores on meth or cocaine because she couldn’t get her hands on some of that sweet, sweet dope.
People who have drug-seeking personalities should be allowed to use a mostly harmless drug like marijuana instead of dangerous drugs like heroin, cocaine, and Meth.
If you are insinuating that marijuana is a gateway drug, we have already dispelled that notion with scientific studies.
Dang that science, always being biased towards fact, reason, and logic!

Meth pills? Agent, that’s not how meth is made, man. You once again show you are clueless on this subject. And, all of those drugs you list deliver different types of high. One does not lead to the other. “Reefer Madness” is propaganda.
Yo, dawg, I’m slinging the lasso of truth here, three hits of Wonder Woman for a benny. A lot better than those Meth pills you been choking down with water!

This 20% tax is a price level the stoners want the rich to pay. LM Ossoff about the tables being turned on them!
MA voters approved a specific tax rate – now big government is stepping in and deciding NOT to implement the will of their constituents.
If MA wanted to enact a different set of criteria, they had ample opportunity to draft a bill to have folks vote on their proposal, but they did not.
Basically, if people overwhelmingly voted for bill “A”, the government should enact bill “A” and not decide to put bill “B” into action instead of “A” because the voters never approved bill “B”
Great word parsing Rosenblatt. You are talking in circles.
By the way, the City Council in Seattle voted to impose an income tax on their citizens despite it being against the State Constitution. How crazy is that?
Rosenblatt, your last sentence confirms my post about you talking in circles. Sorry, you just can’t help yourself and dig a deeper hole with each one.

Why would they delete Rosenblatt’s comment that followed Agent’s?
Can Agent dish it out and not take it?

Doug — I think it’s just “the squeaky wheel gets the grease” around here. Who cares if other posts are similarly accusatory, negative, insulting, etc? If nobody complains, they’re kept on the site.
I find it humerous that the folks around here who call others snowflakes and insult in nearly every other post (if not every post) are the ones complaining to the mods requesting posts from others be removed.
PS – I stand by my removed comment that I was NOT talking in circles and had Agent had proper reading comprehension skills, he would’ve understood what I posted.

No, I understood what the voters decided. I merely opined on the 20% tax rate PROPOSAL that liberals would love to impose on the rich… yet it was proposed that stoners would be subject to it. Sort of a NIMBY type situation…. i.e. ‘tax the rich, but not me’.
If the citizens approved a ballot vote to tax the rich 00.00%, and the State implemented the law taxing the rich at 1%, I’d have a problem with that too!

Also, if they keep taxing it at a high rate, pot will cost as much as cigarettes!

If the cost to buy marijuana legally gets too high, people will just go back to buying from their current drug dealers on the black market.
Kind of like a vicious cycle, isn’t it Rosenblatt. Kind of like buying guns on the black market when they tax guns too high.

No one cares what you think because it’s based on biased, distorted information.

don’t forget the super bad drug Heroine!
Ah yes, who can’t resist some good female heroes?

That’s not talking in circles nor word parsing, but thanks for chiming in with your insults anyway.
