Why is an Iraqi national able to own a business in the USA? Was he given cititzenship? If not, he should have been deported some time ago. Obviously, he was trying to defraud an insurance company and also guilty of arson.
I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt because I know that you know that non-citizens can own businesses in the US as long as they’re here legally.
sal,
As you continue to read the forums out here, you’ll learn Agent’s hateful world view. It’s quite astonishing, actually. Not sure why anyone wants to walk around with all that angst.
my point wasn’t whether or not he should be deported (he definitely should for committing arson and fraud), just that if he’s here legally he can legally own a business. Does an “Iraqi National” mean that he’s illegal?
If you think about it a nanosecond, the Iraqi National issue means he has very few rights relative to a US citizen. Misbehavior by a foreign National may result in deportation, depending on the nature of the act. Fraud and arson aren’t anything like jaywalking and illegal parking.

But an Iraqi National COULD legally own a business in the US, correct? The arson and fraud occurred AFTER he owned the business, and he should be deported.
Agent’s question was “Why is an Iraqi national able to own a business in the USA?” Per activefilings.com: “The procedure for a foreign citizen to form a company in the United States is the same as for a US resident. It is not necessary to be a US citizen or to have a green card to own a corporation or limited liability company formed in the United States.”

I don’t think anyone is arguing the actions to be taken against this specific individual. It’s the idea of grouping all Iraqi immigrants into that thought that is disgusting.
Polar, I care and the country should also care about all the illegals in this country flouting our laws and committing crimes. Time to do something about it.
Spoken like a true Tramp Stamp. How about doing something about anyone committing crimes? My appetite for crime doesn’t have an illegal-status bias. Why does yours?

that post is disheartening to read, even by agent’s lofty xenophobic standards
Hints: Iraqi NATIONAL. Fraud. Arson. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt on one issue. Two fair accusations/ convictions remain valid.
I said his comments were xenophobic – I didn’t say anything about arson or fraud.

Truer colors couldn’t be shown.
Gosh Agent, hate much? Oh wait…nevermind.
Don’t care
I care. And I don’t care that you don’t care.
