NJ Govs seem to think NJ residents are dumb, and don’t understand the dangers. It seems like they’re seeking publicity. But it may be they’re trying to avoid blame that almost always follows a storm where people die, partly due to their stupidity in the face of dire dangers.
Legislators need to enact laws that require evacuation under specified circumstances, and severe penalties for not following those laws, thus endangering first responders / law enforcement officers who have to save them from their own ignorance / stupidity. This in one instance where personal freedom doesn’t count; i.e. when it would endanger other’s lives.
