Don’t be fooled by marijuana “decriminalization” because citizens are still going to be treated like common criminals for marijuana under it. This is what desperate anti-marijuana prohibitionist types will now settle for.

They also fail to mention the additional huge cost of court costs which can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars on top of the relatively small ticket/fine.

If you fail to pay these very expensive and often unaffordable court costs you will be in “the system” as a criminal. With a warrant out for your arrest and incarceration.

This policy still allows marijuana to be used as a tool and probable cause by law enforcement to investigate marijuana consumers for no other reason other than even the detection of the scent of marijuana by law enforcement.

Overall, decriminalization through it’s hidden, super expensive court costs and mandatory summons to appear in court, combined with the allowance of marijuana to still be used by law enforcement as a tool and probable cause still allows marijuana to be an ordinary. otherwise law abiding citizen’s introduction into the criminal justice system.

No thanks! If this so called policy of marijuana “decriminalization” truly means marijuana is no longer supposed to be a “crime”, then why are marijuana consumers still going to be treated like criminals under it?

Marijuana consumers demand equal rights and protections under our laws as the drinkers of alcohol. Plain and simple!

Citizens will STILL be forced to the dangerous black market and a shady illegal street drug dealer to purchase their marijuana. Getting caught buying it is STILL a crime they will arrest and jail you for. Then, they will also most likely try to FORCE you to either mandatory community service and/or rehab, and if you don’t comply, guess what? JAILTIME!

Also, we will still be wasting our tax dollars sending police around to write summons to marijuana users and wasting police manpower and resources.

Instead of allowing our police the time, manpower and resources to protect us all from real, dangerous criminals who actually commit crimes with victims and pose a real threat to society.

Why else do you think some politicians are so EAGER to “decriminalize”, instead of LEGALIZE?

    Don’t Let’em Fool Us!!!

If you can’t purchase it legally, then it isn’t legal.

If you have to fear a monetary fine/ticket which if you don’t pay and/or show up in court to handle, you then become a criminal with a warrant out for your arrest, and when convicted (yes convicted, as in crime.) you will then be forced into free manual labor and/or forced drug rehabilitation to be used as another statistic prohibitionists love to flaunt about supposed “marijuana addicts”, then….No, it’s not legal!

This will not suffice! Getting caught purchasing marijuana is still considered a serious “drug deal” and you will be prosecuted for it!

    DEMAND FULL MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION NATIONWIDE!

Well Said. The names of all Democratic politicians who were “no” votes should be published. They should have brought the bills to the floor for a vote, so that on record we could see who has to be voted out. I feel that voters were scammed into voting Democratic over this issue. There is no excuse for them.
They fooled people to get votes, then threw their own voters under the bus after they were elected. How could this be “politically” bad for re-election, when the majority of people want legalization.
These fake Progressive democrats should be outed and removed from office,
To “protect” a few political jobs they have continued a failed policy and punished millions of people.

HA HA HA HA! What happened? New York is run by Democrats?

Oh wait. Did you see the devastating report on marijuana and young people in Colorado last Monday? No, not Fox News, the Washington Post! (Might want to read it if you care about marijuana legalization, because if the Washington Post is seeing the light, your unstoppable wave of legalization has already crashed on the beach.)

Not to mention a similar New York Times story about the devastation wrought by legalization published in the last week. The NY Times and the Washington Post are seeing the light, so maybe you should stop pretending to be blind anymore.

The Lies are Being Exposed. And people with no shame (that be you, Kangaroo) will go on pushing THC products that damage kids, lots of kids according to the Washington Post’s story on the impact of legalization in Colorado. (Don’t read the articles if you have a conscience.)

Show me ONE time when I have “pushed” THC products. One time. What’s that? You pushing lies again? That’s what you do best. That and move goal posts. I have said time and time again, and I have known for decades, it ain’t good for you. It’s an intoxicant. Show me any intoxicant that doesn’t have consequences. I just believe it should be left to the user, just like alcohol. Because, let’s face it, the detriments of alcohol abuse are far worse.

Do you support legalization still? Then you are okay with damaged kids as a consequence. That’s the way the world works for people who take responsibility for their positions in life. Is that you?

Take it easy, man. Hit the bong again, maybe Mr. Kelly. The New York Times reported that the Black Market is over 80% of California’s production of marijuana, so legalization didn’t stop the Black Market, it made it even bigger.

I know. I know. Truth is not a Liberal Value, but still.

80% is black market now, which is even bigger then when 100% of it was black market?

No matter how you try to slice it, you’re always going to get the result where 80% is less than 100%. And since 100% was being bought on the Black Market before legalization, Black Market sales can’t have a bigger slice of the pie percentage-wise post legalization.

            From the NY Times:

It’s been a little more than a year since California legalized marijuana — the largest such experiment in the United States — but law enforcement officials say the unlicensed, illegal market is still thriving and in some areas has even expanded.

“There’s a lot of money to be made in the black market,” said Thomas D. Allman, the sheriff of Mendocino County, whose deputies seized cannabis oil worth more than $5 million in early April.

Legalization, Sheriff Allman said, “certainly didn’t put cops out of work.”

California’s governor, Gavin Newsom, has declared that illegal grows in Northern California “are getting worse, not better” and two months ago redeployed a contingent of National Guard troops stationed on the border with Mexico to go after illegal cannabis farms instead.

Maybe we should ask the Prince of Whales what he thinks about legalization. Did you know that drones aren’t manned, Prince of Whales? There was no man in that unmanned drone. Cocked and loaded! (it’s locked and loaded, President Bone Spurs)

Are you in favor of legalized pot for fun/recreation as you always have been? If so, then the damage to kids is part of the result of your position.

Who else should I blame if not the people who back the idea of legalized THC for fun? Man up. If you support it, admit the damage to kids is part of the package.
