Rather than All the Kings horses and all the king\’s men….it should be \”Can\’t teach an old dog new tricks\”.

Kinnect was never going to work for the following reasons (amongst others):-
    1. The market is a global market and not all contracts are written 100% in Lloyd\’s.
    2. All of the electronic platforms have tried to homogenize the policy conditions – many underwriters are proud of having their own conditions and it is one of the facets of providing competition.
    3. Many brokers have their own dedicated systems with various underwriter groupings – which work fine for them.
    4. The internet allows one to do many things more simply and faster anyway.
    5. Many larger contracts are bespoke creations tailored for a particular client – electronic/formulaeic systems don\’t endear themselves to the clients and brokers of this type of busines. What exponents of such systems keep ignoring is that insurance/reinsurance (apart from simple auto and such) isn\’t the same as trading stock or moving money from one account to another. To work and be accepted, any system has to maintain the same level of flexibility that currently exists.

Roger. I\’m not sure about Point #3.
Have you seen some of these systems out there?

I don\’t know why people put up with systems that don\’t do the job.

    Maybe this will explain it.

    Malik M. Hasan, Neurologist.

Seems the lady was also worked over by Lincoln Ave. Qual-Tronix Med in San Jose, California.
