They were both stupid and weak. And I find her claim to not know that committing fraud is a crime stretches the bounds of credulity (is that even a word?).
He may have figured out after all what is really important – the respect and admiration of his children. I could never understand how someone could make those choices, money and a life of lies on the run instead of your kids and grandkids? Maybe they will forgive him.
Wow! He woke up and realized he was doing wrong and turned himself in to pay back the money. If this is true, then good for him. He lost face and will experience shame for the rest of his life, but at least he’s trying to make good. Unlike criminals in our system that we let go, he wants to do right and pay back the debt. I say no jail time or only 30 days, then parole until the debt is paid back. It would be cheaper for tax payers and the Insurance company would get their money back. A win win in today’s society.
He turned himself in because he thought it was easier living in a prison cell than to live the rest of his days with a weak, pathetic woman, who was married to a loser.

THAT IS THE ONLY REASON.
