Everest Insurance International announced the addition of Martin Leeks to its Lloyd’s Syndicate 2786 as a medical malpractice and multi-national/ specialty underwriter. Leeks will be responsible for the development of the Medical Malpractice European SME underwriting strategy while assisting the casualty underwriting team in portfolio development. He will be based in London.
Leeks brings 30 years of industry experience to Everest. He most recently held the title head of Casualty – UK and Southern Europe at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance since 2017. He has also spent time in various underwriting roles at MS Amlin (2011-2017), Chartis (2010-2011), ACE (1997-2010), Zurich Financial Services (1995-1997) (1989-1995) and Eagle Star.
