Didn’t know Underwriters are now Stock Analyst. SMH. Wonder if Stockholders want underwriters to just focus on stock price and not actually trying to write profitable business???

How creative, don’t like something then find a way to take it out by cancelling the insurance needed to keep it going, anyone think it is just about coal? It is NOT!

if, and that is IF, we are willing to address climate change, then we have to start somewhere, This will not get rid of coal so all naysayers can stop holding thier breath. This will just reduce the money available to start NEW coal projects. I wonder why the big companies, with their vast resources, don’t realize that it is in stockholders long term interests to invest in R & D and find alternatives. the sooner they do that, the better their position in the future when others who continue as if nothing is going on just keep digging themselves deeper until they are obsolete. I know that sounds simple but I didn’t say it would be easy, just that we have to start thinking about the future NOW.

You need MET COAL to make steel.

If we do not have MET COAL you cannot make wind turbines.

How about informed people make policy? Not uninformed people who want to ban coal but make new wind turbines.

Address climate change?!?! Where have you been for the last 50 years? A little historical perspective would do you some good.

By starting somewhere, we should eliminate an entire industry? It’s hard to eliminate an industry when the other options are costly and not yet viable. If you feel this is to reduce money for NEW coal projects, this started back in 2008 and the war on coal has not stopped since. I believe that all coal companies take the environment serious but they provide a commodity that keeps the lights on, helps with steel making and a host of other items that have paved away for future generations. While change is always good, eliminating an entire industry doesn’t make sense to me….IMO.
