Maybe FEMA would quit making these mistakes and causing burdens on people if they knew they couldn’t get their money back. Too bas so sad, FEMA. Tough.

It would be adding insult to genuine injury if these six families had to not only suffer the flood damage but then also to be ordered to pay back the small relief they believed was theirs when the governmental agency gave them assistance checks. You know and I know the money went to repair damage and is gone now. Why penalize them again? Even criminals are not allowed to be tried twice for the same crime! I know how I would feel. Remember the expression, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you!”

I just had to comment on the unfortunate circumstances that the receipents of Fema payments are faced with. As usual the governments error will cost the people of the country. the Flood and Hurricane victims should not be penalized for the ineffeciency of the government agency. How can you continually oppress people who are already facing the obstacle of rebuilding everything that has been lost. these people did take this money fradulently. Come give them a break..Life is hard enough without having to face another debt to the government. An yes I work and pay taxes.
