University of Iowa to Restore Art Facility

    They should restore it with the main floor
    not used. Build it on stilts.
    When it floods again, the tax payers will foot the bill.
    The original concept of putting the building there was wrong.

    There is no “art” in Iowa. The state name stands for “Individuals Out Wandering Around”. And what kind of idiot says to hell with mother nature and rebuilds on the river? I think keeping the first floor of this $21M building empty just in case of another flood is a fascinating idea. What a freakin’ waste of space. But, I suppose it’s work it to protect all the crayons and drawing paper from getting wet again.
