“Membership allows Motorists to take advantage of FHLBank’s product line of financial services, including low-cost advances that can be used for liquidity management and general asset/liability management.”
Is FHLBank one of the recipients of TARP funds or other free spending programs sponsored by congress? If so, those “low-cost advances” being made to Motorist Mutual are coming out of our, the American taxpayers, pocket. As such, I’ll take my share of the interest earned in the form of a lower auto insurance premium – thank you very much.
And the focus is on AIG using tax dollars to shore up their price cutting scheme. Doesn’t appear they are alone in this scam.
