How stupid of Iowans to build homes close to rivers. That is just as bad as seacoast dwellers who get wiped out by Hurricanes and rising waters on the coast. Then, they blame everything on Climate Change. If you don’t want to get flooded, don’t build in a flood plain.

You’re an idiot. By that logic, people should really only build if they live on a mountain… Maybe you should know the facts before you post something as stupid sounding as this?

Do you have any sense Common? Just on the news the other day, they were interviewing a woman who lived 100 yards from the bank of a river and water was already in her living room. She said it had done that before and expected it to do that again. Nobody advocates building on a mountain, but I don’t feel that sorry for people building on the seacoast or next to a river. They are asking for it. It is not if, but when.

“Just on the news the other day…” Yeah, all of the people affected by the flooding were 100 yards next to the river. Again, maybe you want to know all the facts before you call Iowans stupid for building homes close to rivers. How dare any city build by a river, ocean, or lake…they’re all going to flood!
