It’s not an industry that “can do whatever it wants” because eventually they’ll get their butts sued off. You could say the same thing about Ford and the Pinto. Ultimately it’s in the manufacturer’s interest to make a safe product or pay the price. Hopefully they pay big on this and learn a lesson/recall the remaining product.
I hear you and agree with your sentiments CTC, but I think that quote was specific to the fact that the CPSC has no jurisdiction for ‘restricting the manufacture or sale of firearms.’

Hmm, didn’t see a mention of where the steel came from to make this rifle. Could it be China or Taiwan?
