Missouri’s helmet law has been costing Missouri businesses revenue. Riders avoid Missouri on their trips because of the law. I live close to the Missouri Kansas border and when going on a trip we always plan our rides and avoid Missouri as much as we can.

This is great news. While I am in favor of voluntary helmet use for motorcycles, I do not care for it being mandated by law. I will be purchasing a 3-wheeled electric motorcycle in 2020. This vehicle has a full steel tube roll cage around the rider & passenger and is fitted with lap seat belts and dual shoulder belts. Because it has motorcycle handlebars & controls, it does not fit Missouri’s legal definition of an autocycle. Not having to stop at the state line to don a helmet when I enter Missouri will be a great relief.
