Who\’s this guy working for, the terrorists? The major trucking companies can write this off as a business expense if they choose to comply and register their drivers. If the drivers are Independent, they too can write this off as a business expense. No passport, no crossing the border!
Even CIA, FBI, and Secret Service Agents all have to have passports to get back into the country. And, I imagine (or, at least hope) that their background checks are tougher than any truck driver goes through in the permitting process.
I\’m kind of curious about the \”government-issued identification and security documentation\” that a passport would duplicate. If the alleged existing documentation would get a trucker past a customs agent at Dulles or LAX, okay, but somehow, I doubt it meets those standards.
Come on, passports aren\’t that expensive, nor are they hard to get.
Agreed. The only time a passport is a problem is when the driver is an illegal alien or has a background that could be questionable.
