Safeco was trying to acquire, just before they got acquired too. Today it is either eat or be eaten. We know a couple of people in the field for THG, and they’re watching to see what happens. Meanwhile, their A- rating isn’t strong?

There are a few at A minus that have to be wondering who will sign their next paycheck? The stock carriers are going to have to start raising rates soon, in the middle of a soft market and a recession to boot. Something has to give and that probably means SELL?? That is the word that I’m hearing on the street, and from those who work for these carriers. They are watching.

I work for Selective, and one of my biggest agents just told us that he’s concerned that he has too many accounts with us, and he needs to diversify. He reads too many posts on this site, and watches other activity. So he goes and gets a Hanover contract, and now tells me that he is concerned about rumors about them? Agents, you get what you get, and I would suggest that you don’t base your business decisions on rumor or what other Marketing Reps tell you.
