William is at it again. After convincing the legislature to open credit to any warm body without regard to finances, he now hopes to provide insurance for those with no ability to pay enough to create and maintain reserves.
He and his wife need to go back to school on economics which, one hopes, would inculcate honesty in personal finances and in sponsoring public enconomic development schemes.

    Richardo,
I’m not a fan of either of the Clintons, but this is a GREAT idea. Microfinance has been around for a while now and has a proven track record of extraordinarily high return on investment. The rate of payback from borrowers in these third world countries is much higher than a lot of the people in U.S. who have walked away from their financial obligations and filed bankruptcy. The people in question often have a much higher degree of moral obligation than many in this country. If you want to educate yourself on the subject, try reading “Banker to the Poor: Microlending and The Battle Against World Poverty” by Nobel Prize Winner Muhammad Yunus.

Get over the Clintons – it’s not their idea – they are simply endorsing it and it happens to be a good one.

What do you mean, the Clintons support a good idea??? Don’t you know that everything that went wrong with the Bush administration can be directly tied to Bill Clinton’s presidency?!?

Keep the baseless, ignorant comments to yourselves.

Richardo, Joe Mama and Mr. Obvious, this means you.
