Insurance Journal Launches Online Ad Showcase

May 8, 2009

Insurance Journal launched a new online service for full page advertisers of Insurance Journal magazine, a biweekly magazine for property/casualty insurance agents and brokers delivered to more than 42,000 businesses nationwide.

The new IJ Ad Showcase service transcribes, classifies, categorizes and tags all full page ads in an online showcase. Ads and keywords in each ad can be browsed and searched online. In addition, the print ads will appear next to related online content and on www.InsuranceJournal.com search results.

Julie Tinney, vice president of sales and marketing for Wells Publishing, says the new online advertising service has received positive response in recent weeks.

“There’s a great deal of excitement about this product not only among our own advertisers but among publishers in other industries as well,” Tinney said. “The content integration option has only been live for a short time and several agents have already used the showcase to request agency appointments directly through the service.”

Some additional features of the showcase include:

  • Advertiser contacts and prospects will be able to view magazine ads online, e-mail them, and contact the advertiser directly online.
  • Ads can be posted to social media sites like Facebook instantly.
  • The service also allows scrolling feeds of ads on any Web site with a few clicks.

The ad showcase can be viewed and searched in real time at: www.insurancejournal.com/adshowcase.

San Diego, Calif.-based Wells Publishing, publisher of Insurance Journal magazine, www.InsuranceJournal.com, www.ClaimsJournal.com and www.MyNewMarkets.com, was founded in 1923.
