    So much for “global warming”.

Right…the fact that there are fewer tropical storms so far this year negate the melting glaciers/ice caps, record-breaking high and low air temps, higher water temps, amount of gases in the air, droughts, and the hole in the ozone.

Calm down Al. Despite your ‘hard’ evidence, the Earth is not melting. Mankind hasn’t even been on the planet for a blink in time geologically speaking. Most unbiased evidence suggests the Earth is moving towards a period of global cooling.

It’s just semantics, which is why most people refer to it as ‘climate change’ now. Notice that I did state there were record low temps as well as high temps in my post. I’m just tired of people pretending that the course we’re on is normal and ‘just another cycle’ in the history of the Earth. The pace of temp changes we’re seeing now has been proven unprecedented when compared to past climate cycles.

So “Sleep Well” is Al. Hey Al, I got your video, not “Inconvenient Truth but “How to Make Millions on Unfounded Rumors” it’s on my shelf right next to “No Money Down”.

Oh no’s. The sky is falling! The sky is falling! Maybe Al should go see the great dumb Senator from Michigan, Debbie Stabenow, who just said last week that global warming is getting worse as she can personally “feel it” when flying. Jesus, how can some of these people get elected. Then again, they have no marketable skills, so they go into politics.

Heres the way I look at it – I dont want to pay for some global warming tax. BUT:

Im very upset at the fact that our water ways are so toxic that we cant swim or eat half the fish. Im not happy about species becoming extinct or finding it hard to breath in urban areas with poor air quality.

I also dont like cancer clusters.

So anyway, lets do whatever it takes to clean up the environment and stop bickering about whether or not there is global warming or global cooling.

Sleeps Well, Remember Algore said on 01/27/2006 that if we did nothing New York would be underwater and the planet would be scorched from the heat by 2012. Well it is 2009 and the water around New York has not risen and it is accually cooler overall. So at what point to we call these wacko environmentalist on this stuff. These are the same people that predicted the “New Ice Age” back in the 60s which never happened.

Geez, I wish I had a similar witty comment to make about all of the scientists world- wide who have published studies on this topic for the past ten years. I guess Al Gore must have invented climate change and all of the documented evidence he use in the film just to make money…

To think that the current views on climate change are unfounded is a little naive.

Of course the waters by NY are cooler – due to the melting of the glaciers/ice caps. That was in the movie too.

There are many scientist including the one at the EPA who now believe we have little control over CO2 emissions. So answer my question. When everything they tell us never happens when do we call them on it or is the cool aid that powerful Sleeps Well. I am all for not poluting and a clean environment but lets not waste time and money on junk science.

I did not say the waters of New York were cooler. He said the waters would put New York underwater. If they are going to do that they better hurry up as they are running out of time.

Cap and Tax is the biggest fraud ever foisted on man.

Put incentives on “clean and green”, not taxes that every man woman and child in developed countries have to pay for.

Start where we are now, and LOWER taxes on business that improve. That will make a positive change on behavior and not add costs to consumers who pay for everything anyway.

You think China, Russia, India will intentionally bankrupt themselves?

We don’t need a world tax or complicated scheme that lines Al Gore and his cronies pockets with cash…

    Really?

Most credible scientists (those without a political agenda) are suggesting that the earth is tilting toward the sun and we are in fact enjoying a warming trend, but not as a result of industrial pollution. Further, that this is, in fact, considered to be a normal cycle.

How about you share your information source (please, no Al Gore citations) and I’ll inundate you with mine?

Not to beat a dead horse here but try to find a scientist that is not funded by Federal money that believes in man made global warming. Besides, I think the time between the Cretaceous and the Tertiary periods may have seen far more rapid global climate change.

Global Warming, Global Cooling. Did you forget that God can do whatever he wants without us even knowing? Sleep Well Tonight is what I do every night knowing that I dont have to fear the “impending doom” that politicians dump on us. Find the money trail and you’ll find a politician. They want healthcare reform for monetary control. They want Federal Insurance Regulation for monetary control. Global Warming is for monetary control. God controls it all, including whether or not the world gets hotter or cooler.

    Really.

I have no doubt that some (not MOST) credible scientists theorize that we are tilting toward the sun. There are a million theories out there, none of which can ever be fully proved. I could bog you down with countless Googled websites, but I won’t. I realize for every website address I give you, you can give me one back that refutes every point made. I tend to get my info and viewpoints from films and documentaries (I’m NOT referring to Al Gore’s). I also saw a very compelling exhibit on climate change a year ago at my local aquarium. I imagine a polictical agenda could be dug up on them as well, but I can’t think of anything out there in today’s world that isn’t attached to politics or money.

I just find it difficult to believe that years of industrialization and massive overpopulation has not had a MAJOR impact on this earth. Are there other, non man-made factors invoved? Of course there are! I just feel that a little common sense (not Kool-aid driking) is warranted in this situation. I’m not saying the world is going to implode any time soon, but it’s pointless to dig your heels in and say we shouldn’t be making major changes to clean up our crap.
