Amen to the no colors/formats in the background advice…nothing upsets my obsessive/compulsivity more than trying to send a reply email in triple spaced type over a canary yellow background because somebody thought that would be cute in their email.
Great article. However, how big is too big? Since I don’t see well I usually increase the font from 10 to 12. It makes it easier for me to proofread and I hope it is helpful to the recipients. Do you think that is too big?
What is the difference if I have old emails at the bottom of my Inbox to deal with later or put them in another folder called ‘deal with later’ — I still have to deal with them and they are more visible in the Inbox. Is this just a psychological game? Your comment?

And to Ed’s comment I would also add ‘no large type’ – it is every bit as bad as the all caps transgression – like yelling.
