I suggest that any bill passed should mandate that congress use the plan. That should stop both parties in their tracks.

Yeah, lets push a plan that costs the taxpayer more money and costs the government more money. Two wrongs don’t make a right, no matter how liberal you are!

Call and email your senators and let them know they will be fired if they vote for cloture.

If it makes it past the 60-vote hurdle tomorrow, all Reid needs is a simple majority vote to pass it, and he probably already has the votes locked down. Don’t beleive any senator who claims to oppose the bill but plans to vote for cloture.

2000+ pages of bullsh*t. Does anyone really know what these guys are voting on?
Why such a rush? because they know if we really debate it, it would never pass.

WHEN DID WE BECOME SO STUPID THAT WE ALLOW OUR GOVERNMENT TO TAKE SO MUCH CONTROL OF OUR LIVES?

Thanks to GWB having enraged so much of the population, the dems swept in with O and dominate both houses now. They have been waiting for this since FDR and no way will they let this opportunity slide by. If they can bring it to debate; count it as a done deal as then they need only a simple majority to pass the bill. This way those dems from conservative states can vote against the bill (but vote for debate) to protect their reelection chances while there will be enough of the liberals to vote passage. Great group of thinking people we elected there….I don’t bother contacting my senators as I’m in CA and of course Feinstein and Boxer are all over this. Later on when it all goes to hell in a hand basket, Pelosi, Reid and dear leader Obama will say they passed a great bill and blame any problems (tax hikes etc.) on those politicians (especially repubs or conservatives) that have to try and implement this monstronsity.

Hey grey cat. I understand california is taking 10% more taxes starting this month. Is that true? What kind of state do ya’ll live in…

Also, GWB was not perfect, but it was the media that enraged the people. The same media that attacks everyone that dares to speak a non-politically correct word while forgetting to cover the greatest massacre on American soil by a single terrorist, and the worst case of indecision (leadership) by a president!

Yep, our tax with holding just went up by the promised 10% (the state calls it an interest free loan) so I adjusted the number I enter for with holding calculations to take back the 10%.
CA libs rode the prosperous times to enact a so called “social safety net” that we can no longer afford. As the economy has crashed big time here the Sacramento politicians are finding out we ain’t gonna keep giving them blank checks for their pet projects like welfare etc. I wish someone besides a failed business exec was running against Boxer for senator as I see her as very vulnerable in the next election. And of course the folks up in San Fran love Pelosi so she will be there as long as she feels like it. I truly am looking to relocate even though I have lived here my entire life as I do not see the situation improving here. I love the weather here in Socal but fear the dems will elect Brown and get a few more in the state legislature here and then another perfect storm of unbridled tax increases will role out….

Come to Texas — we’re still doing well. Of course, we may have to secede if Washington doesn’t quit with this socialist BS.

Being a CA resident, it’s useless contacting Sens. Boxer & Feinstein. Holding their feet to the fire couldn’t stop them from leading the charge to pass this huge threat to our liberty.

However, I encourage all of you in other states to do one thing today before the axe drops. If you have senators who (unlike CA’s senators) still view their careers as serving us, not ruling us, contact them and speak your position against this debacle. If they are in favor of the bill, lean on them to amend the bill so it applies to them as well. Otherwise, subjecting us to a law they’re exempt from is outright dictatorial. Act now while you can!
