The unit of Dice Holdings Inc. said Thursday the number of accounting jobs posted is up by half from a year ago, while compliance and legal job postings are up 45 percent.

So lets see…firms are adding more compliance jobs to keep up with increasing burdomsome government regulations. The accounting positions are probably added to find tax loopholes around said regulations.

I don’t believe any stats regarding unemployment, job creation, etc. Everyone knows the numbers are skewed to look better. Perfect example : The stimulus saved or created xx million jobs. Its all BS and cannot accurately be quantified.

As long as the government continues to meddle in the affairs of the private sector, we will not have a significant jobs recovery. In fact, it will likely get worse while the deficit grows even larger.

I think that the author should have waited until Friday when the new unemployment numbers are released.
The whitehouse has already blamed the winter snow storm for the anticipated bad numbers.

Obama fans should wait for the numbers and not report your wishes instead of facts.

Good news? These numbers are not good news. They’re bogus numbers that are heavily skewed at best. Unemployment is still rising, yet this administration just loves to report that everything is A-OK. Its not and won’t be anytime soon if this garbage continues.

Don’t believe any numbers out of this administration. Its all lies…just like them telling us this healthcare reform will save money.

Sarah…you’re right on about tomorrow’s numbers telling a different story. I’ll be watching the market sell off as a result.

More government intervention= less jobs. I just wish the monkeys in Washington could figure this out and quit wasting time on healthcare and global warming.

Actually I take that back. I didn’t mean to insult monkeys by comparing them to our elected officials.

So much brave political talk here but very little sound economics. The government is not the total solution but it is in the best position to kickstart the economy. That’s the reality, like it or not. The private sector alone can’t do it right now; like it or not, that’s the truth. And government spending has helped, whether you like it or not or your politics lets you admit it or or not. It’s not perfect and we’re not back to positive job growth we all want yet but without the government we’d be even worse off. Government intervention is not always efficient or targeted but that’s the way it works. Those who still have jobs have the luxury of spouting political ideology and talking points. But if we waited for the private sector to right itself without any help, many more of us would be out of work and for longer. Why so quick to criticize policymakers trying to do something to help? How you would feel if you were on the unemployment line with millions of others? After the government stimulus is allowed to work, the government can get out of the way again. Like it or not.

The economy would have done better if the government did not get in the way. Instead of the stimulus package the economy would have re-bounded by now if government would have forgiven for one year, for small business, any and all taxes. The economy would have re-bounded with encouraged busineses to keep on producing and maintaining their employees.

Government has no money, Its our money they are spending and borrowing in our name and our kids name.

I thought it was interesting the other day when they were proposing the continuation of unemployment benefits and the one Kentucky Senator stoped it and asked how we were going to pay for it. Not that we shouldnt do it, but how we were going to pay for it and the Liberals hair caught on fire! You would have thought this guy killed someone. He just asked the congress to go by their rules they just established “PAYGO” pay as you go. Why are liberals so affraid of paying for something? Do they think that we can just print more money. Where do they think the money comes from?
