So, Murdoch closes the News of the World, thereby putting a lot of innocent people out of work. Other victims include those (we know about) whose privacy was violated. Yet, he continues to stand by the person in charge of the News of the World when these violations occured. All for Murdoch’s version of journalism. Does he realy expect to improve his credibility by closing this paper? It’s a spec on his balance sheet. The culture established by Murdoch’s journalistic (using the term losely) lack of ethics has trashed journalism. The best example is Fox News, which is garbage, and was constructed purely in his image. They are the pros at misinformation. It’s only a matter of time before he ruins the Wall Street Journal.

All I can say is that what goe’s around comes around and it is about time people wake up and see exactly what he is and stands for. I have never understood why in the U.S. we allow a monopoly of the news media to take place. Clear Channel is next!

Funny, I was just taking a look at Fox Nation.com and there is no mention of this story. There is on Fox News.com but I find it rather intresting that Fox News.com has “news” stories” and the Nation website has nothing more than anti liberal/democrat headlines that people can leave comments on.

Explain to me how that is “Fair and Balanced”?

Fox News is run by a gentelman named Roger Ailes. Roger is a was George Bush I’s campaign manager when he ran for President. So, is Roger an experienced news man capable of assuring “fair and balanced” news coverage? He’s not even a experienced news man. But, he is a heck of a political consultant. So, that’s Rupert’s guy to give us the “objective” story as he sees it….

i imagine ruppert runs his shop like hank greenber ran AIG – employees are expected do anything to generate income, but if its illegal and they get caught, they are on the hook for their ‘mis-step’, and ruppert denies everything.
