Brought to you by Allstate. Based in the midwest where there’s lots of good food to eat and plenty of cool months to not be motivated to workout. (Said as a proud midwesterner)…

Maybe Allstate should spend little more time with it’s agent force that is moving to independents in record numbers. More Mayhem..

Wait until Bloomberg gets his hands on this study! A ban on 16 oz sugary drinks are just the beginning. Why not ban drive-through windows while we are at it and tackle two problems? Punish everyone, including those of us who make good choices. Never get to the root of the problem, i.e. why growing numbers of Americans seek out food to fill a void in their lives.

Why is Allstate spending money on fuel studies? How does the fuel economy affect the cost of claims? While the study is interesting, wouldn’t Allstate’s money be better suited to paying their agents better, or even better yet, adjust their premiums. How does this study make auto insurance better? Just another example why insurance companies are targeted as wasting money.

I guess it beats you and I(the taxpayer) paying for it. This is something I would expect the government to waste money on. Really, extra weight in a car causes extra fuel usage? Issac Newton would be proud.

Perhaps their underwriting app will now ask a person’s height & weight like Life Insurance does before approving coverage. If you are heavier than normal, they bump you into a higher tier.

This is absolutely great!! The next thing Allstate will do is surcharge overweight drivers for auto liability coverage, because with their added weight, they do more damage when they hit something. That being said, they should offer discounts for skinny drivers!!

They can start a new advertising campaign that if you are the proper height and weight, you can get more savings on your Auto rate. If you keep your car tuned and the tires inflated like our President suggested, that can save you on fuel and insurance costs. Our gas prices are already double what they were 4 years ago so the idea is to make people drive less. Allstate will have fewer claims because people cannot afford to drive anymore.

Brilliant Allstate. Thanks for pointing out something that most of us with a brain already knew. I guess they have to do this for all the iphone/download app crowd who don’t have much of a brain. How about doing a study on the price of gasoline doubling in the past 4 years due to having a government unwilling to encourage production and instead pushing a failed green agenda where all the companies go belly up after receiving several billions in loans? Small lightweight cars are a death trap in an accident. I don’t care if the driver was obese or not. Hit a large dog in a Smart Car and you are history.

Yes, the government certainly must be discouraging domestic oil production. Hmm, since 2008 it’s actually going up. Wait, that doesn’t fit the narrative so these facts must be bunk!

If production has been going up, how come the price of gasoline has doubled in the past 4 years? The increased activity is on state land. The Energy Dept has not increased permits on Federal Land and they turned down Keystone which would have actually created jobs and increased supply. This administration would rather fund failed Green Companies and give them tax credits and loans so they can fail shortly thereafter. To get the loan guarantees, they have to return some of the money to the Obama campaign coffers. Quite a scheme!

Agent, keep taking in platitudes and forget the facts, as usual. You say you don’t listen to him, but man you sure sound an awful lot like Hannity. Then again, you look at the same website, Drudge. That’s all Hannity looks at to prepare for his show – true story. Chris Bradshaw sat with him for 2 show preps.

Who is forgetting the facts Planet? I live in the real world and you are from a different planet. Is the gas prices in Iowa still at $1.84 like they were in 09 or are they pushing $4.00 like almost everywhere else. California is north of $5.00. Did you not hear your President say he wouldn’t approve the Keystone Pipeline? Even the unions weren’t happy with that answer since they wanted a lot of those construction jobs. Did you not know that green companies were given huge amounts of money and tax breaks only to fail after using up their loan money? We see almost weekly about another one who is now toast and where did our money go. I don’t need Hannity to keep my eyes open. Perhaps you should stop watching Chris Matthews and Rachel Madcow and open your eyes.

Once again, you don’t have the facts. Luckily, we have some fact checkers on board to call you out. Solyndra’s CEO and major investor were Republican:

This is a debunked lie. The CEO of Solyndra is a republican who donated to republicans. http://influencealley.nationaljournal.co…

And the Solyndra loans were initiated under Dubya. That’s Sir Bush to you.

The problem is that the oil drilled here doesn’t stay here. Sending it to China and India doesn’t help gas prices here in the U.S. The same is true of the Keystone scam. That’s why gas prices are so high. Meanwhile, the oil company bigwigs are laughing all the way to the bank. Now there’s the REAL wealth re-distribution. That’s the REAL class warfare – the one that the ultra-wealthy have been waging against this country for decades.

So Shirley, I guess you are happy paying $4.00 for gas and California is paying $5.00 for gas due to the lack of any Energy policy in this country. We should be going more green, using more ethanol, right? We should be “investing” in switchgrass, cow dung, algae for our energy. The gas prices have always been tied to supply and demand. When we have supply, the prices go down, when we have a shortage, it goes up. This country has the greatest resources in the world and Progressives are fond of saying we have 3% of the supply and consume 25% of the resources. If this country had an energy policy to develop all the resources, we could tell the shieks and Chavez to fly a kite. Why did our President give Brazil $3Bil to drill offshore and promise them we would be their best customer? The short answer is that his buddy Soros had a stake in the Brazilian company and Obama needed to repay him for all the support he has given.

I wonder how many allstate agents are overweight and contributing to these numbers? I also wonder if they provide a diet plan to their overweight employees to help fix this problem or maybe they are just so smart they don’t need to do anything but come up with useless facts. Good job.
