MILDER WINTER ON THE WEST COAST MAKES MORE DAYS OF CONSTRUCTION . ROADS AND BUILDINGS PLUS LESS HEATING EXPENSES. HOPEFUL FORECAST FOR THIS WINTER SHOULD HELP THE ECONOMY.
That’s one side of the coin…the other side is what’s happened to our Mid-West farmers’ crops from the drought..too much water is devastating…too little water is devastating. We need that happy medium!!
Its difficult to establish property rates given the record breaking weather we have had over the past 10 years.
I agree with the theme behind CT Agent’s comments above. A beach go-ers person’s perfect summer is dry and sunny, but to a farmer its their worst nightmate,,, drought.
Think about it from the perspective of an Actuary who’s job it is to set property rates. Hail, Tornados, wild fires, etc, all at record highs. The author is right when they say “But, the agency also stressed that models show a great deal of uncertainty about the U.S. precipitation during the upcoming season.”
