Possibly we as temporary habitants of our planet should consider limits on the number of people allowed to live or build any new structures within some set distance-say 5 or 10 miles from the coast. there is plenty of open areas where we can have people live and work where it doesn’t hurt the earth.
Not only would that provide for an effective CAT mitigation tool, but it would also help preserve sensitive ecological ecosystems that oftentimes are found at or near waters edge. Global warming should be warning enough to have us start healing the earth at its most helpless and sensitive places now before its too late.
