Unfortunately, congressional hearings are becoming increasingly irrelevant because questions don’t get answered. Consequently, there is no accountability to the individuals asking and those answering. More theater, than addressing the issue. On a related note, I find it hard to imagine that Ms. Barra, in her 34 year career that spanned many facets of GM, and her senior roles in recent years, does not know more. All I can say is, welcome to the big time!
Regardless of what she may or may not know today…the GM issues were happening before she got to the corner office. So she becomes the scapegoat for her predecessors choice to ignore the reports? Congress needs to call in those that were in the corner office before Ms. Barra. It’s a collective GM issue, not just one person is responsible.
Angel, during this time, remember when Obama fired the CEO and replaced him with his own guy that had no clue how the Auto Industry worked? I think the new Obama guy didn’t address safety issues with GM either.
Not everything is “Obama’s fault.” Your sacrilege is an indication of your lack of respect and intelligence.

I watched the hearings and I thought there was more grand standing by the legislators. I believe the hearings puts GM and other large companies on notice that it is unacceptable to know that you have a safety issue and to ignore it. Ms. Barra appears to me to be the right person for the job as she comes across as wanting to get to the bottom of this issue and fix it.

Jesus H. Christ! Is EVERYTHING Obama’s fault?
