    I filed a complaint against a prior employer who discriminated against me while I was pregnant. I filed a complaint and even hired an attorney, only to discover the system was made to protect the business not the employee. This may be why complaints are down it’s not worth the money or the stress.

    333 cases of violations of the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act… The fact that there is even a need to have a Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act is kind of terrifying.

    I want to know what kind of company would demand genetic screenings as a condition of employment.

      They are more likely than not, violations where the employer is seeking family medical history out of habit. A technical violation, if you will.

    What the article is not mentioning of course is that most (99.99999%) of these suits are bogus.

      I wonder how many cases are for firing with cause. Employees who are fired many times are not doing their job, late for work, making mistakes that cost the business revenue despite counseling and second or third chances.
