I wonder if they count the accident where the self driving car didn’t stop and ran into the guy right in front of the cameras. Oops! Faulty sensor?

      That never happened, Agent.

There was a Volvo in the Dominican Republic which hit a pedestrian while trying to self-park. Is that what you’re talking about? The car that **DID NOT** have the Pedestrian Detection Functionality technology in it at that time?

Blaming the car for hitting a pedestrian when it didn’t have the proper technology in it is akin to saying “all hot water heaters are going to explode because mine, which didn’t have any fail safe features built in, blew up.”

Sorry you didn’t watch Fox & Friends with the video on prominent display. Why would someone stand in the path of the car if it didn’t have the sensor to stop it in time? Perhaps it was one of those low information true believers.

“Why would someone stand in the path of the car if it didn’t have the sensor to stop it in time?”

Because they THOUGHT the vehicle had the Pedestrian Detection Functionality tech in it, but it didn’t. Your “faulty sensor?” theory on why that guy was hit is wrong. Just letting you know the truth for your own edification.
